Credited with having "created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition," Dylan, 75, became the 259th American to have won a Nobel Prize. The award is given to an individual who has produced "in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction". On Thursday (October 13), the same day that the Nobel announcement was made, Dylan picked up the guitar for the first time since 2012 to play 'Simple Twist Of Fate' in Las Vegas. Watch footage beneath. Stereogum reports that the last time Dylan played guitar live was in Chicago in November 2012. Both Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits have congratulated Dylan on his win. Sara Danils, Secretary of the Swedish Academy, described Dylan as "a great sampler& and for 54 years he has been at it, reinventing himself. On his classic 'Blonde on Blonde', she said: "An extraordinary example of his brilliant way of rhyming. putting together refrains, and his brilliant way of thinking." The singer appeared on the US TV show to play new single '24K Magic' and an unreleased new song called 'Chunky' taken from his upcoming new album. Mars last appeared on the programme in 2014 with Mark Ronson and has been on it four times as a musical guest and five times altogether. Skrillex confirmed last month (September) that he has been working on new material with the singer-songwriter. "I'm not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we're doing is so fucking different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that's happened before," he said. The album will be his third following 2010's 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' and 2012's 'Unorthodox Jukebox', home to the huge hits 'Locked Out Of Heaven' and 'When I Was Your Man'. The song features on his forthcoming album 'Heavy Entertainment Show' and was originally intended to be kept by the Las Vegas band. However, Williams told The Sun earlier this month they gave him the song after he'd heard it at his producer's house. "The Killers' sound is unique and I think Brandon Flowers is one of the best songwriters on the planet," Williams said. "I was at Stuart Price's house and he'd just been working with Brandon and played me this song. He said, 'Have a listen to this.' And all the way through it I was thinking, 'I want this song.' And unbelievably they let me have it and didn't have it for themselves." Marsay played the Waif opposite Maisie Williams' Arya Stark during season five and season six; Marsay has now had to quit Facebook after viewers became angry about her character's behaviour towards Williams' Arya. According to Digital Spy, the actress revealed the news after speaking at a press conference this week, stating her dislike of social media since taking on the role, adding that some people want to know a little bit too much. Getty She said: "I got a lot of shit after Game of Thrones but people were also really nice. I've had people trying to figure out who I'm in a relationship with and all that shit." She continued, "I was a teenager in the '90s. I didn't get a mobile phone until I was 15, so for me, this shit scares me as well," she said. "I remember the '90s and nothing was that intrusive." She added: "I've just come off Facebook three days ago. But I'll go to check it and be like, 'f**king hell, I'm not on that anymore', and thank god I'm not. Described as "a candid and heart-warming comedy", Armstrong stars as former punk rocker Perry, who is struggling to adapt to real life ten years into his band's "indefinite hiatus". After his 40th birthday is forgotten by his wife Karen (played by Selma Blair) and his daughter, Perry's brother takes pity on him and helps fund a wild party at a lavish New York City hotel. It is at the party where Perry's past meets his grown-up present, encountering his old bandmate Gary (played by Fred Armisen) and an old-flame-turned-manager (played by Judy Greer). Speaking on the Food Networks Rachael Ray Show, Armstrong was asked what the difference was between him and Ordinary World's Perry. He responded, saying "there's not a lot of difference I would say as far as the family." He continued, "When you go back home after a long period of time doing a touring cycle, you just end up hanging out and waking up really early and kind of fumbling around and being a clutsy parent, on the job training and sleepless nights and y'know dirty diapers and up 'til now my oldest son is 21 and my younger one is 18." Rachael Ray laughed before saying to the audience "I know, he looks good right?!" Ordinary World features four new original songs written by Armstrong, including the title track, which will also appear on the tracklisting of Green Day's new studio album, 'Revolution Radio'. Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 more when he opened fire on civilians at the nightclub in Florida in the early hours of June 12. He was shot dead by police. It was the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in the history of the United States. According to Pitchfork, James wrote 'Here in Spirit' after attending a Los Angeles rally the day after the tragic shootings at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. You can listen to 'Here in Spirit' below. Speaking in a statement, James said: "I was feeling so utterly gutted that things like this keep happening. Its a song about speaking out and trying to be there for people in spirit even if you cant be at every rally and battle." He continued, "We have such a duty to speak out for equality and for each other. I will always lend my voice to whatever the civil rights issue is of the day, to whomever needs the most help and love." 'Here in Spirit' will appear on James forthcoming album 'Eternally Even' set for release on November 4 via ATO/Capitol. James shared the music video for album track 'Same Old Lie.' 'Waste a Moment' serves as the opening track to 'WALLS'  the band's seventh studio album which was released yesterday (October 14). The follow-up to 2013s 'Mechanical Bull', the LP was recorded in Los Angeles with Coldplay and Arcade Fire producer Markus Dravs. The album's title is short for 'We Are Like Love Songs'. Sharing a screen-grab of her listening to 'WALLS' on her phone, the singer wrote: "I've been waiting for this album for SO LONG and it's insane, you need it in your life. When asked by NME if the band had 'lost their edge', frontman Caleb Followill replied: "If there was a movie made of our lives, in the last few years we had a lot of edge. Merchant will host a one-off revival episode of the classic Channel 4 game show tomorrow night (October 16) as part of this year's Stand Up To Cancer charity campaign. The creative team behind the episode have said that if it proves popular, a full series could follow. However, Merchant cast doubts on whether he could present a full series of The Crystal Maze during a Facebook Live to promote the charity special yesterday (October 14). "We haven't discussed it being a series, but for me personally that would be tough," he told fans watching on Facebook. "Because then I'd have to do it all the time, and I'm not sure I'm equipped to be a game show host. I don't think I have that skill set." "This was really fun to do, I think I've done quite a good job, you can be the judge of that, but for now this is a one-off edition," Merchant added. The celebrity contestants joining Merchant in the charity special are Sara Cox, Josh Widdicombe, Rio Ferdinand and Michelle Keegan. The show's original host Richard O'Brien is said to have filmed a "substantial cameo" for the special. The Channel 4 show originally ran for 83 episodes between 1990 and 1995, with the first four series hosted by O'Brien, and the final two steered by Tenpole Tudor frontman Edward Tudor-Pole. During a video interview posted on Oasis's Vevo channel, the band's main songwriter said that he think's today's teenage music fans would struggle to understand the sense of expectation surrounding Oasis as they recorded their 1997 album 'Be Here Now'. "I don't think anyone will ever be able to fully explain to people who are maybe teenagers now what a colossal thing Oasis was in the lives of anybody who gave a shit about music," Gallagher said. "It was massive." He continued: "There's big things in music now. I do festivals all over the world and there are big bands. Fucking Oasis was a 100 times bigger than all of them put together, do you know what I mean? Particularly in England. You couldnt accurately describe it to anyone [now]." During the interview, Gallagher also admitted that he wishes the band had waited longer to record 'Be Here Now', their follow-up to 1995's enormously successful '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'. The Nine Inch Nails frontman admitted that he was "entertained" by the mogul-turned-politician while he was fighting to secure the Republican Party's nomination, but said that he now finds Trump's presidential campaign "sad" and "absurd". "It is surreal," Reznor told The Daily Beast. "I'll admit that I was entertained during the Republican debates and the whole process of whittling them down. It's kind of fun to see a grenade go off and see these guys - I hate every one of them - be eliminated and humiliated." "But it stopped being funny months ago," he continued. "It's sad to see the discourse be dragged this low. It's absurd that this is even happening." Reznor also admitted that he is "absolutely terrified" by Trump's long-term effect on the political landscape even if he fails to win next month's election. "Hopefully Trump will flame out any minute now, but the effect of him - or he himself - is not going to go away, and there's going to be an awful lot of very energised followers," Reznor said. "We all know they're not going to say, 'Well, let's support Hillary because she's the president now.' Shes walking into a terrible situation." Alexander played one of the Manchester soap's best-loved characters, put-upon cleaning lady Hilda Ogden, from 1964 to 1987. During her final year in the role, she received a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Actress, becoming the first soap performer ever to be recognised by BAFTA. Alexander, who was voted the Greatest Soap Opera Star of All Time in a 2005 TV Times poll, later appeared as money-grabbing junk shop owner Auntie Wainwright in BBC sitcom Last Of The Summer Wine from 1988 to 2010. She announced her retirement in 2012, two years after her final TV appearance. She passed away in hospital yesterday (October 14), three days after celebrating her 90th birthday. Sharing the sad news with The Guardian, Alexander's niece Sonia Hearld said of the enduringly popular actress: "People used to stop her just to say hello and how much they missed her. She was always very good to her fans - she said 'they put me where I am'." Titled 'Losing My Religion 2', it features slightly different lyrics to the version of the song that became one of the band's biggest hits in 1991. Listen below. 'Out Of Time (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)' will be released on November 18. The expansive four-disc reissue features an additional live recording of a 1991 show at Mountain Stage and a Blu-Ray disc that contains hi-resolution audio and 5.1 Surround Sound versions of 'Out Of Time', all the album's music videos, and the 1991 electronic press kit 'Time Piece', which includes a collection of studio and performance footage. 'Out Of Time'  which yielded another huge hit single, 'Shiny Happy People' - was released in 1991 and saw the band become globally renowned. It was followed a year after by 'Automatic For The People', which, like 'Out Of Time' hit Number One on the UK Albums Chart. R.E.M also reissued three of their classic albums to vinyl in July:1986s 'Lifes Rich Pageant', 1987s 'Dead Letter Office' and 1988s 'Eponymous'. 'Lifes Rich Pageant' was the first R.E.M. album to be certified gold in the US and was previously treated to a 25th anniversary reissue back in 2011. Netflix recently confirmed that it has renewed Stranger Things for a second season. Season two will feature nine episodes, one more than the first, launching on Netflix at a date in 2017 which has yet to be announced. Creators the Duffer Brothers have already said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that season two will introduce four new characters and "venture a little bit outside of Hawkins" as well as exploring more of The Upside Down. Now The Hollywood Reporter has unveiled two of these new characters. Australian actor Dacre Montgomery, soon to be seen in the Power Rangers reboot movie, will play Max's older step-brother, Billy. His character is said to be "a classic girlfriend-stealing bad boy". Meanwhile, child actress Sadie Sink - who has previously guested in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit - will play Max, who is described as "a tomboy with a complicated history and a suspicious streak". Getty In addition, two of season one's recurring characters, Joe Keery's Steve and Noah Schnapp's Will Byers, have been upgraded to series regulars for season two. "We'll be doing more than just a rehash of season one," the show's executive producer Dan Cohen said recently. "We're coming back with a few new characters, expanding storylines and mythologies, so it'll feel like the stakes are raised and more is going on and really delivering on the promise and pushing for more."
