Drake has announced that the remainder of his Summer Sixteen tour has been postponed.

Last week saw the Toronto rapper push back a flurry of North American tour dates "under doctor's orders". Now a statement confirms that all the other shows have suffered a similar fate too.

Drake's fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can't wait to get back on stage."

Drake had previously written of his injury: "We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night."

"I hate to be told I can't do something, but [I am] under doctor's orders to allow me time to recuperate. I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support."

"I promise - I will make it up to you. I can't wait to see you all again with new music and a stronger ankle."

Carrie Fisher claims Donald Trump 'absolutely' is a 'cokehead'
Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has made drug allegations about Donald Trump.

Republican candidate Trump has come under increased scrutiny over the past week after making controversial comments about groping women.

Following the second Presidential debate between Trump and Hillary Clinton at the weekend, Fisher - best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise - took to Twitter to describe Trump as "entitled, elitist, racist, misogynist" and a "classless thug".

Trump has not responded to the allegations.

Fisher has spoken about her own use of cocaine in the past, saying: "Slowly, I realised I was doing a bit more drugs than other people and losing my choice in the matter".

'The Walking Dead' releases title and synopsis for first episode of season seven
The title and synopsis for the first episode of The Walking Dead season seven has been released.

The Walking Dead will be returning to the UK on October 24 after being launched on US network AMC a day earlier on October 23. Season six concluded back in April with a cliffhanger ending that saw an unidentified character being beaten by newly introduced character Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Robert De Niro says Donald Trump must be 'crushed'
Robert De Niro has continued his criticism of Republican candidate Donald Trump, who last week he said he would like to punch in the face.

In a video message encouraging Americans to use their vote next month, De Niro described Trump as "a punk", "a dog", "a bozo", "a pig", "a con", "a mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about", "a bullshit artist" and "an embarrassment to this country". He went on to say: "He's an idiot. Colin Powell said it best: he's a national disaster... He talks how he'd like to punch people in the face... Well, I'd like to punch him in the face."

De Niro was criticised for his comments by Jon Voight, who starred alongside De Niro in 1995 film Heat. "I am so ashamed of my fellow actor Bobby DeNiros rant against Donald Trump," Voight wrote on Twitter. "What foul words he used against a presidential nominee who has worked harder than any other man I know in the past year and a half to get a good message to the American people".

Responding to the criticism, De Niro said: "Voight is a nice guy but hes delusional. The Republican party has rationalised that his guy is sane, that this guy should be President. Its awful, they will self-destruct".

De Niro also added to his takedown of Trump, Dubai's Khaleej Times reports. He said: "Im so angry that this fool has got to this point that he makes us angry and he just cannot be elected President."

De Niro also said that the American people "have to vote, they must vote, it's imperative that you vote, it's a very serious situation... Everybody has to be vigilant to make sure that this guy does not become President... Let's not win by a margin, let's make sure he's crushed.. that he's not around because he represents so many horrible things."

Samsung 'permanently discontinue' Galaxy Note 7 amid fears of it 'blowing up'
Samsung have announced that they're 'permanently discontinuing' the production and sale of their S7 Edge phone, after customers reported that it was 'exploding'.

After millions of the model had been sold, users began to report them overheating and 'exploding' - before manufacturers advised them to 'switch them off' to prevent further danger.

Now, the phone will longer be made.

"Taking our customers safety as our highest priority, we have decided to halt sales and production of the Galaxy Note 7," said Samsung in a statement.

Those who have already purchased the phone are advised to approach their point of purchase, where many customers are being offered loan phones until replacements are provided. Experts are claiming the recall will be very damaging to Samsung's reputation.

"As a result of making a complete mess of the Galaxy Note7 recall,Samsung is more likely to lose a large number of high end users to other Android handsets rather than to Apple," Richard Windsor from Edison Investment Research told The Independent.

"The real issue is brand and reputation. As long as Samsung carried out the recall smoothly and kept users very happy, the issue would eventually blow over. Unfortunately, this is very far from the case, and the fact that Samsung appeared to still be shipping defective devices could trigger a large loss of faith in Samsung products."

Appearing at New York Comic-Con, West said: "The new movies, Batman is very full of vengeance and deep-seated angst and so on... Theyre very dark."

He continued: "Enough violence. Let the costume work for you. And put a little humour into it. I think its about time to relieve that all of that kind of attitude of vengeance and 'I cant take it anymore, Im going home and Im going to suck my thumb.'"

Ben Affleck recently confirmed that his forthcoming new movie about the caped crusader will be called simply The Batman.

Affleck is set to direct and star in the Batman solo film, which follows on from the recent Batman V Superman blockbuster.

Hillary Clinton leaked emails show conversations with Tom DeLonge about UFOs
Last year, former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge claimed that he was doing "really important work" involving UFOs and Area 51. Now leaked emails from Hillary Clinton's US election campaign has shown DeLonge sending messages to the Democratic candidate's campaign chairman about the topic.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Clintons campaign chairman John Podesta received emails from DeLonge regarding their mutual interest in UFOs. Podesta's passion for extraterrestrial lifeforms is well known - last year he tweeted that his "biggest failure" in government was "not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files."

Newly acquired emails published by WikiLeaks show DeLonge offering to introduce Podesta to two important individuals, with one email reading: "I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you."

It is not known whether Podesta responded to the emails but there's evidence of an invitation for a meeting with DeLonge.

    Getty

DeLonge recently said that UFOs are a "national security issue". He told Mic: "Dealing with something thats a national security issue, and youre being gifted with the opportunity to communicate something youve been passionate about your whole life something that has the opportunity to change the world over time being a small part of that is enormously important for my life path."

"But I cant do everything. I cant tour nine months out of the year with enough time to do the enormity of what Im setting out to do.

DeLonge also denied that he quit Blink-182 to focus on investigating UFOs.

DeLonge parted ways with Blink-182 in January 2015, and has since released Sekret Machines, a book that blends sci-fi elements with real life accounts of purported UFO sightings and alien abductions.

Following media reports, DeLonge took to Facebook to deny that he quit the band, although he remained adamant that he is working with the government on UFO matters. He wrote: "Quitting the band to search for UFOs? Hahhaha WTF is wrong with you media... I'm actually talking to Travis [Barker, Blink 182 drummer] about us right now... Never did quit, remember?"

"But - Am I currently working with people in the Government? YES. Including leadership from DOD [Department Of Defence], Intelligence and Executive Branch? YES. Just wait for the documentary before considering ridiculous headlines. Haha... *#sekretmachines,"

Earlier this year, Blink-182 released their first album without DeLonge, titled 'California'.

Of Mice & Men cancel the rest of their tour due to illness
Of Mice & Men have been forced to cancel the rest of their European tour, after the band were struck by illness.

Frontman Austin Carlile, formerly of Attack Attack! was performing in Portsmouth at the weekend when the band had to cut their set short. Writing on Facebook, the band revealed that they'd be flying him home for treatment before rescheduling the rest of the effected shows.

"It is with our sincerest apologies that we are forced to cancel the remaining dates on this current headline tour," they wrote. "We had to cut short our set in Portsmouth on Saturday night due to Austin being in pain throughout the show. We attempted to play the show in Cardiff the following night, but it became increasingly obvious that we were not able to continue and that we need to focus on Austins health.

"As much as we wish we could complete the remaining dates of this tour we know that we would be doing a disservice to all of our loyal fans, as well as ourselves, performing under the current circumstances."

The band continued: "The reality is that we feel the best thing to do right now is go home, get Austin the appropriate medical attention & regroup before we head back out on the road again. We appreciate that our fans understand how important it is that we put health first & foremost & know that we would never cancel shows unless we felt it absolutely necessary."

"Refunds will be available at point of purchase for all cancelled shows."

Of Mice & Men's tour in 2015 was struck by incident, when Carlile was hospitalised after being electrocuted by a microphone - as well as suffering from undisclosed health issues earlier in the year.

Watch Billie Joe Armstrong's awkward encounter with Joan Jett in 'Ordinary World' film clip
A new clip has been unveiled from Ordinary World, which stars Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong in his first major film role.

Described as "a candid and heart-warming comedy", Armstrong stars as former punk rocker Perry, who is struggling to adapt to real life ten years into his band's "indefinite hiatus".

After his 40th birthday is forgotten by his wife Karen (played by Selma Blair) and his daughter, Perry's brother takes pity on him and helps fund a wild party at a lavish New York City hotel. It is at the party where Perry's past meets his grown-up present, encountering his old bandmate Gary (played by Fred Armisen) and an old-flame-turned-manager (played by Judy Greer).

Speaking to NME a few months back, Green confirmed that, despite his solo ventures, Alt-J are "by no means" over.

"[We're] very excited about it, I think it's going to be pretty interesting," Green said of their next record. "I feel like it'll be different, but I don't know. It's funny that we write together so well and it comes pretty naturally and pretty quick."

Pressed on what the album might sound like, Green replied: "I can't predict it. You know, we write what we feel."

He also stated that he has "no idea" when the album might be released and that recording hasn't started yet.

Speaking to DIY, Green said on the topic of Alt-J's next album: "All we ever want to do is write interesting things, so we might write an entire album with an acoustic guitar and a tambourine. Well see."

"As a huge fan of the original series, I'm honoured to support Stand Up To Cancer by hosting this one-off edition of The Crystal Maze," Merchant said when the episode was announced. "Richard O'Brien and Ed Tudor-Pole leave big shoes to fill, but I have size 14 feet, so I'll do my best."

The Channel 4 show originally ran for 83 episodes between 1990 and 1995, with the first four series hosted by Richard O'Brien, and the final two steered by Tenpole Tudor frontman Edward Tudor-Pole.

A live immersive version of the game show opened in London earlier this year. See how the NME team did here.

See a photo of the bespoke Paisley Park urn now housing Prince's remains
Prince's remains are now being kept in an incredible bespoke urn modelled on his iconic Paisley Park recording complex.

The special commemorative urn - pictured above - was designed by the late musician's sister, Tyka Nelson, and nephew, President Nelson, in Prince's honour.

People reports that the scale-model of Paisley Park is 14 inches high and 18 inches long, and features Prince's famous symbol as well as seven iridescent crystals selected by Tyka Nelson. Inside, there are miniature replicas of objects found inside the real Paisley Park, including scale-models of Prince's purple Yamaha piano and white ornamental doves. The interior even features working lights.

Fans who visit Paisley Park, which opened as a museum in Prince's honour earlier this month (October), will be able to glimpse the commemorative urn close-up. Check out a video demonstrating the urn below.

Located in Chanhassen in his home state of Minnesota, Paisley Park became both a residence and a place of creativity for Prince after construction was completed in 1988. The artist intended the compound to become a museum after his death, leaving behind guidelines on such aspects as how he wanted visitors to walk through Paisley Park during the tour.

The 'Kiss' icon was found dead at Paisley Park back in April, before an inquest found that he died from an accidental overdose of painkillers. He was just 57-years-old.

Sir Rod Stewart has been knighted by the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace.

The singer was rewarded in the Queen's birthday honours list in recognition of his services to music and charity.

Wearing tartan trousers, the singer said of meeting Prince William: "We talked about music and he said: 'It's great that you're still going', and I said: 'I have to - I've got eight children!'.

Sir Rod was accompanied by his wife Penny Lancaster and his two youngest children, Alastair and Aiden, reports BBC News.

Stewart, 71, has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide since the release of his debut solo record 'An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down' in 1969.

Other stars named in the Queen's birthday honours list included footballer Alan Shearer, who received a CBE, and astronaut Tim Peake, who was made a companion of the order of St Michael and St George. The honour is usually given for overseas service and this marks the first occasion it has been awarded to someone in space.

Punk band Beach Slang remove guitarist following sexual assault allegations
US punk band Beach Slang have removed guitarist Ruben Gallego from their lineup following allegations of sexual assault.

The band told fans on Facebook earlier today (October 11): "Although this occurred four years ago and prior to him joining Beach Slang, we cannot in good conscience continue with him. We believe survivors and we want to believe Ruben, but until we learn more information, we don't feel it's appropriate for him to be a part of Beach Slang."

Beach Slang also told fans they will be making a donation to RAINN, the world's largest anti-sexual violence organisation, using proceeds from their latest tour, adding: "We strongly support survivors and organisations such as www.rainn.org and we encourage you to use their resources if you need help."

They wrote on Facebook and Twitter: "Beach Slang has always been and will always be a safe place for everyone. It has to be. Take care of each other."

Beach Slang are due in the UK in early November for live shows in Glasgow, London, Leeds and Brighton. They released second album 'A Loud Bash Of Teenage Feelings' earlier this year.

Will Young quits 'Strictly Come Dancing' for "personal reasons"
Will Young has announced he is leaving the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The pop singer survived the BBC1 dance contest's first two eliminations, which saw TV presenter Melvin Odoom and EastEnders actress Tameka Empson voted off, but will not take part in the remainder of the series.

He said in a statement: "Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television. I am so grateful to everyone who works on Strictly from the lighting designer to catering to the production team. Strictly truly is the most unique family and I thank them from the bottom of my heart."

He also praised his professional dance partner Karen Clifton, adding: "I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience. I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come."

The show said on Twitter that it "fully respects" Young's decision to step away from the competition.

Actor David Oyelowo criticises 'Game Of Thrones' for putting actors of colour "on the margins"
Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo has criticised Game Of Thrones for failing to cast actors of colour in prominent roles.

Oyelowo, known for his film roles in Selma and The Butler, argued that the fantasy series tends to consign non-white actors to roles "on the margins" of the major storylines.

"The fact that they put any ethnic minorities in that means that there should be space for bigger characters," he told RadioTimes.com. "Because you're not just saying 'OK this is purely a white world, and here are very story-driven reasons why that's the case.'"

He continued: "You are interspersing people of colour into it, and so therefore it's a conscious decision to put them on the margins, as opposed to put them front and centre. Even if for whatever reason, it's a world in which people of colour in those stories are subservient, or they are more in a helper role, that doesn't mean they can't have prominent storylines. All you have to do is shift the focus to focus on those characters."

Oyelowo, who received an OBE for services to drama earlier this year, and is well-known as an advocate for greater on-screen diversity, concluded: "So for me, there is absolutely no excuse in a show like that [for] why there aren't more prominent characters of colour."

Miley Cyrus distances herself from sex abuse allegations aimed at Woody Allen
Miley Cyrus has distanced herself from sex abuse allegations aimed at Woody Allen after filming for his new comedy Crisis In Six Scenes.

In 1992, Allen was accused of sexual abuse by Dylan Farrow, Allens adopted daughter with Mia Farrow. Allen denied the allegations at the time. While no charges were brought and the investigation not pursued, the star's career has been dogged by the claims since.

Allen's son Ronan Farrow recently criticised Cyrus for agreeing to work with his father. "Amazon paid millions to work with Woody Allen, bankrolling a new series and film," he said. "Actors, including some I admire greatly, continue to line up to star in his movies. 'It's not personal,' one once told me. But it hurts my sister every time one of her heroes like Louis C.K., or a star her age, like Miley Cyrus, works with Woody Allen. Personal is exactly what it is - for my sister, and for women everywhere with allegations of sexual assault that have never been vindicated by a conviction."

Now Cyrus has defended the director. "I live a similar life to Woody I live a public life," she told Variety. "Until I know someone and I know their story, I never really judge anyone. That's kind of how I went into it. From the way I saw him with his family, I never saw him be anything but an incredible person and a really great dad. People might slam me for saying that. I'm sure it was a hard time for that family. My family has been through hard things, and I think everyone's suffering is different."

The Amazon series stars both Allen and Cyrus. Allen plays Sidney Muntzinger, whose suburban family are the subject of the show. Cyrus plays Sixties flower-child/activist Lucy.

The pop star also opened up about coming to understand her own pansexual identity and getting involved with the LGBTQ community. "My whole life, I didn't understand my own gender and my own sexuality," Cyrus said.

"I always hated the word 'bisexual,' because that's even putting me in a box. I don't ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl. Also, my nipple pasties and shit never felt sexualised to me.

"My eyes started opening in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick. I grew up in a very religious Southern family. The universe has always given me the power to know I'll be OK. Even at that time, when my parents didn't understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand."

Watch Chance The Rapper fend off stage invader who tries to tackle him from behind
Chance The Rapper managed to fend off a stage invader who approached him from behind during his gig in Miami, Florida last night (October 10).

Video footage posted by fans shows the stage invader trying to tackle or possibly hug the rapper, who reacts quickly and manages to push him towards the floor before security takes the uninvited guest away. Watch below.

Chance The Rapper has yet to discuss the incident on social media, and will take to the stage at the same Miami venue tonight (October 11).

Chance began his US tour on September 24 and briefly interrupted it for a one-off performance at London's Roundhouse on September 30 as part of Apple Music Festival 2016.

During the tour, which runs until October 21, he has teamed up with civil rights group National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) to offer concertgoers voting registration forms at his shows.

NAACP president Cornell William Brooks said of their collaboration: "Chance the Rapper is an artist whose music praises and lifts up our common humanity, and whose call for action speaks to the yearning of this moment. This year, more than it has in a generation, we must use the power of our voices and our votes and exercise our sacred right to vote."

Miley Cyrus says she lost her Walmart clothing line because of weed
Miley Cyrus has revealed that she lost her Walmart clothing line because of her weed habit.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer has made no secret of her fondness for marijuana in recent years, posting several joint-smoking selfies on Instagram and even wearing an onesie with a marijuana leaf pattern on stage.

A photo posted by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on Aug 18, 2015 at 3:35pm PDT

"I had a clothing line at Walmart and got kicked out, because they said you had to choose weed or Walmart," Cyrus told Variety. "And you see what I did - I chose weed."

During the interview, Cyrus also discussed her LGBTQ activism, which includes running a nonprofit organisation, Happy Hippie, which aims to reduce youth homelessness, particularly among LGBTQ teenagers.

"My empowerment comes from feeling like I have a purpose now," she explained. "On my tombstone, I didn't want the 'Wrecking Ball' lyrics. I wanted it to be something greater. I'm the only fucking Disney star who would say I'm pro lesbian and gay, before it was OK to say that."

Asked if she got in trouble with Disney for her LGBT activism, Cyrus replied: "I actually didn't, because a lot of the dudes that work for Disney are gay, so they were very happy to have someone on their side."

During the interview, Cyrus also spoke at length about identifying as pansexual, and shared her thoughts on the sex abuse allegations aimed at her recent director, Woody Allen.

Destiny's Child member defends her contribution to the group on Twitter
Former Destiny's Child member LaTavia Roberson has defended her contribution to the group on Twitter tonight (October 11).

After Roberson thanked the group's fans on behalf of herself and former bandmates Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, some fans responded negatively by questioning her role in Destiny's Child's history.

Roberson co-founded the group with Beyonce in 1990, and would remain a member until after the release of their second album, 'The Writing's On The Wall', in 1999.
