Gorillaz 'drummer' Russel Hobbs gives rare interview about new album
Ahead of the anticipated release of their new album, Gorillaz 'drummer' Russel Hobbs has given a rare interview.

Activity from the Gorillaz camp seems to be gathering momentum. one fan took to Reddit to share that they'd met Damon Albarn who informed him that the new Gorillaz album would be finished in two weeks. Meanwhile, the band have also been teasing their return with 'books' telling the story of each member since last album 'The Plastic Beach' - so far revealing the tales of Noodle and Russel.

Now, a fictional cartoon he may be, but Russel's new interview Puss Puss magazine is colourful, illuminating, and very entertaining. When pushed for information on the next album, he replied: "You can expect whatever you like. What is coming will come, whether you expect it or not."

"Whats important isnt whats happening next, but whats happening right now. Thats all you can control. And listen, me and Gorillaz thats two separate things. Our paths entwine, then separate like a messed-up pretzel."

Meanwhile, he also revealed his three favourite rappers: "Thats like trying to pick my top three funny cat videos. Just not possible. Lets lose the hierarchy, theres enough of it out there already. But Ill give you three, in no order& If were talking BK, Ive got to say Biggie. Who else? Then Id pick MF Doom. Underground legend. Born over here but spent most of his life stateside, the opposite of my deal. And for someone new, check out that kid Earl Sweatshirt. Great name, fresh sound."

And of course, his favourite cats: "I love cats. Theyre always the first to spot ghosts in horror movies. I should get one actually. Im a big fan of the Devon Rex. Its got these big eyes and pointy ears and looks a lot like an alien. And we all feel like aliens, dont we."

MORE: Everything we know about Gorillaz's new album so far
Today, Gorillaz also shared a new film they made with Jaguar unveiling Noodle as the new 'face' of the car brand
The band's fifth album and first since 2011's 'The Fall' was originally due for release this year, but now looks set to drop net year after animator Jamie Hewlett said it was "really fuckin' special" and "can't be rushed".

Back in July, Damon Albarn said: "Later in the year well be starting to get the whole Gorillaz thing together. I'm loving it and it's getting there. It should be ready fairly soon."

Radiohead's Ed O'Brien to release solo album next year
Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has revealed that he'll be releasing his debut album as a solo artist next year.

Following in the footsteps of Thom Yorke, Phil Selway, and Johnny Greenwood, now O'Brien is set to release music away from the band.

Weve attempted to do something like a full solo album you know, stand there on the mountaintop with the hair going and the Les Paul and create a whole Ed OBrien," he told BBC 6 Music as part of Matt Everitt's The First Time. "I havent up until two years ago but I am going to now. Im gonna do one next year.

Opening up about the inspiration behind the record, he said: "Interestingly enough, it starts in Brazil & kids were born 2004 and 2006. And I said to the guys, in five years time, me and my wife are gonna go and live in Brazil for a year. I dont wanna put the kibosh on anything but this is something we have to do. Dont feel you cant make a record. Make a record without me, if I can come in later on whatever&And I was really aware that Id had so many adventures with this band; I wanted to have an adventure with my family."

He continued: So we went to live in Brazil, in the middle of the Brazilian countryside, and we lived on a little farm in basically a hut the size of this room next door. Life was really simple. Kids went to the local school. No one could speak English, so they picked it up, the language of play and stuff. And life was reduced to its simple parts. For me, it was music and my family. And I would go each day, walk up the hill to this beautiful little hut next to this lake, and I started writing. And I took out all this gear cause Tom said, you know, Youre really good at, just do all the ProTools stuff! And I applied myself, cause I never really applied to it, and I sat and after about eight weeks, I said Im not feeling this, this is rubbish!""

O'Brien added: All I wanted to do was sit there and play guitar, and in February of that year, got taken to Carnival, and a really close friend of mine invited me and my wife to the Sambadrome in Rio. Oh, my god. Its the greatest show on earth. Two nights, you have 12 samba schools. Theyre like these processions, all these floats, and they have an hour and 20 minutes, each samba school parades down whats called the Sambodrome, its like this mile long strip they used it in the Olympics, and it runs from ten at night till six in the morning. It was the greatest thing Ive ever, ever, ever experienced in terms of music. So of course, the beats, what they call the bateria, and its like all these polyrhythms.

"Everyone sings. There must be 4000 people on each samba school who parade down there, and the combination of writing music and that feeling of being there and being like, Oh my god, music can be like this. It was so profound, so its fed my whole inspiration and writing. Theres an element of that joy of music. But it also again, like, a lot of Brazilian music theres a dark heart, melancholy, but, were all feeling this, we recognize it but lets celebrate being a human being because thats part of the journey for most of us. So thats like a watershed in my life.

In the same interview, O'Brien revealed that the music they recorded while at Jack White's Third Man Studios would not be released.

Last week saw Radiohead unveil the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed video for a stripped back rendition of 'The Numbers' from 'A Moon Shaped Pool' - while last week, a new, unheard Radiohead song 'Ill Wind' appeared online from the special edition of 'A Moon Shaped Pool'.

Nickelback respond to Royal Blood's joke comparing them to Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton
Nickelback have responded to a joke made by Royal Blood - in which they compared the Canadian rockers to both Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton.

The 'How You Remind Me' and 'Rockstar' titans have often been the butt of many, many jokes over the years - and it seems they've become experts at deftly dealing with trolls.

Royal Blood laid down the gauntlet, by seeming to say that the band were a combination of both Trump and Clinton:
    @realDonaldTrump + @HillaryClinton = @Nickelback — Royal Blood (@royalblooduk) October 7, 2016

Nickelback then replied - saying that Royal Blood were getting as old as their jokes, and urging them to 'not drink and tweet':
NIckelback jokes are like @royalblooduk, they were a lot cooler a couple years ago.

Music world reacts to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton's second Presidential debate
The second US Presidential town hall debate took place last night (Sunday, October 9) with Hillary Clinton again going up against Donald Trump. The music world has been posting its reactions to Twitter.

Last week had seen increased criticism directed at Republican candidate Trump over historic comments he made about groping women.

During the debate, Katy Perry took to Twitter to urge Clinton not to shake Trump's hand, while Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx urged Trump to "make a point rather than sniffle and point".

"Donald is a Savage," wrote At The Drive-In/The Mars Volta's Cedric Bixler-Zavala. "I'm not pro trump but fuck he's a savage."

Shura went on to point out how "Trump constantly refers to Hilary as her or she and then refers to himself in the third person".

It is the mother of all festivals& theres nothing like that one& It would be great to play there."

As he performed 'Pigs (Three Different Ones)' from 'Animals, Waters displayed images of Trump as a sheep, holding a dildo as a rifle, in a KKK hood, making a Nazi salute, as well as showing him with sagging breasts and a micro-penis. When he sand the line "ha ha, charade you are," the screens showed Trump's face with the word "CHARADE" written across it. A series of Trump's most infamous quotes were also displayed.

Insane Clown Posse respond to 'killer clown' craze
Insane Clown Posse have responded to the recent craze of 'killer clown' pranks in both the US and UK.

News reports have detailed a spate of people dressing up as clowns in public in an attempt to intimidate others.

Speaking to Time, the shock-rap duo - who along with the group's 'Juggalo' followers were classified as a criminal gang by the FBI in 2011 - said that the real danger came not from pranksters by the "clowns [that] dont wear greasepaint" in so-called Big Government and elsewhere across America.

In an article penned for Time, Insane Clown Posse member Violent J writes: "ICP has discovered over the last decade [that] theres a whole army of scary, terrifying and dangerous clowns out there in this country trying to suppress the rights of thousands of people to exercise the most basic part of the Declaration of Independence, which evokes the freedom to 'Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'"

ICYMI people dressed as clowns are terrorising US towns. What might have started as a joke, is getting serious. pic.twitter.com/PMhS1AMFaW— The Guardian (@guardian) October 7, 2016

"These clowns threaten the very fabric on which our nation was supposedly founded uponand for some fing crazy-a reason, theyre getting away with it. From keystone-cop clowns shooting unarmed citizens, to racist clowns burning down Islamic centers or clowns in the NSA spying on us through our cell phones and laptops, America has turned into something far more terrifying than Insane Clown Posses Dark Carnival. Even a scrub like me who dropped out of school in ninth grade can see whats going on. Todays reality is scarier than anything youll ever hear on one of our albums."

Violent J concludes: "Despite these sensationalized reports about 'killer clowns' wreaking mischief across the nation, there are real clowns out there killing ours and your very rights as an American citizen. Now thats truly scary, and nothing to clown around about."

Insane Clown Posse released their latest album 'The Marvelous Missing Link: Found' in 2015. Follow-up 'The Diabolical Karma Twins' is expected in 2017.

Enter Shikari unveil surprise new single 'Hoodwinker'
Enter Shikari have surprised fans with the release of a new single - dropping 'Hoodwinker' online.

The band, who recently started work on their 'best album yet', unveiled the new track as 'an attack on your God' and a blast of 'frustration and righteous indignation'.

"Every now and then, outside of album releases and their attendant campaigns, it's nice to release a song into the wild, out-of-the-blue," frontman Rou Reynolds said of the song. "To bowl it full force at the faces of the general public without prior warning.

"'Hoodwinker' is the current incoming projectile."

He continued: "It is Enter Shikari angrily calling out your God as an imposter. Which I'm afraid he is. I know you thought all the others were imposters and yours was in fact the real one, but I'm afraid he is a phoney too.

"We have clear evidence of false paperwork and forged documents. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news."

Reynolds added: "Please enjoy this piece of angry music though. I hope its frustration and righteous indignation will go some way to dampening the annoying news.

Reynolds made headlines earlier this year when he opened up about his battles with anxiety.

"Strange to think, this time last year, I'd only slept six hours this week! I was halfway through 12weeks of insomnia & gen. anxiety disorder," he said. "After suffering from exhaustion I had the nastiest panic attack of my life & was hospitalised forcing us to cancel our Download warm up show."

"At its worst, some mornings after failing to sleep at all once more, I'd get up feeling utterly distraught & just burst into tears,"

Meanwhile, the band are set to release their new live album, 'Live At Alexandra Palace' on 4 November 2016 - as well as supporting Bring Me The Horizon at a special Halloween show on Halloween at The O2 in London on 31 October.

Skepta and Riff Raff releasing collaborative track this week
Mercury Prize winner Skepta is set to team up with US rapper Riff Raff.

Skepta's album Konnichiwa, which was released back in May, beat David Bowie and Radiohead to win the Mercury Prize last month. He became the second grime artist to win the Mercury Prize after Dizzee Rascal won with his debut 'Boy In Da Corner' in 2003.

Now he appears to be releasing a new track with Riff Raff, who rose to fame on MTV reality show From G's to Gents and was later cited as an influence on James Franco's Spring Breakers character.

Riff Raff recently posted artwork for a song called 'Back From The Dead' coming from the pair. It is expected to drop on Wednesday (October 12).

Skepta has since retweeted the image, which appears to confirm the collaboration.

New X-Men TV show Legion is very different from the films, vows its creator
The creator of a TV spin-off series from the X-Men films has vowed that the show will be very different from the movie franchise.

Legion will be shown on FX in 2017. It stars English actor Dan Stevens as psychiatric patient David Haller, who learns from a mysterious fellow patient that the voices he hears may be real and are from the X-Men universe.

Speaking at New York Comic Con, Legion creator Noah Hawley said: Legion is far away from the X-Men movies, but it still lives within that universe. The only way for X-Men to keep moving forward is to be original and to surprise us. This is really a surprise. Its very different.

In the comics the TV Legion is based on, Haller has a special connection with X-Men leader Professor Xavier. Asked if that connection means Xavier actors Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy may guest in Legion, Marvel TV boss Joel Loeb replied: Wouldnt that be great?

But Hawley said Legion had to establish itself as a show in its own right before featuring guest star cameos. He compared it to Fargo, the TV series based on the Coen Brothers film. Hawley said: For its first three hours, Fargo seemed completely unconnected to the movie. Weve got to earn the right to be part of that X-Men universe.

Before becoming an actor, Dan Stevens was in the Cambridge Footlights comedy group with future stand-up comics Tim Key and Mark Watson. Having starred in Downton Abbey, he will soon be seen as The Beast in the live action film of The Beauty And The Beast.

New Order drummer Stephen Morris to publish his autobiography
New Order drummer Stephen Morris is to become the latest member of the band to publish his autobiography.

Morris has signed a deal with publishers Constable for his memoirs, which will be released in 2018.

The book follows New Order singer Bernard Sumner writing his autobiography Chapter And Verse in 2014.

Former New Order bassist Peter Hook published Substance, his memoir about his time in the band, last week (October 6). It follows Hooks books Unknown Pleasures about Joy Division in 2013 and his memoir about New Orders time running the Hacienda club, The Hacienda: How Not To Run A Club, in 2010.

Substance was in the headlines last week as it detailed claims of physical violence by Hooks late ex-wife Caroline Ahernes towards her then-husband.

Morris book was signed by Andreas Campomar, director of Constable, which is an imprint of major publishers Little Brown.

Morris said of his as-yet-untitled autobiography: After dropping pretty big hints over the past few years that I was writing about my recollections of nearly four decades living a fantastic and, at times traumatic, life creating music in Joy Division and New Order, I am delighted that Little, Brown has given my writing a home. I am really excited to be working with Andreas Campomar, whose enthusiasm for developing something more than a straight rock memoir is inspiring."

Campomar said: Stephens book wont be that typical music autobiography, which tends to be high on mischief and low on the music. Part memoir, part visual scrapbook, part aural history, it will be a hybrid memoir in Stephens wry and witty voice. Stephen will weave a dual narrative of growing up in the North West during the 1970s with how the music actually works. It will also explore what it is to be part of a mythologised band and the idea of what you do becoming who you are."

Morris book means that, of New Orders founding quartet, only keyboardist Gillian Gilbert has yet to publish her autobiography.

New Order finished touring their Music Complete album in September, while Hooks new band Peter Hook And The Light go on a 10-date tour in March playing Joy Division and New Order songs, starting at Newcastle Boilershop on March 2.

Ricky Tomlinson slams Peter Hook for Caroline Aherne abuse claims
Ricky Tomlinson has hit out against Peter Hook for his claims that his ex-wife and comedian Caroline Aherne abused him while they were married.

The Royle Family writer and comedian passed away back in July after a battle with cancer, aged 52.

Then this month saw former New Order and Joy Division bassist Hook accuse Aherne of domestic abuse "putting cigarettes out" on him and attacking him with "bottles, knives [and] chairs". They were married from 1994-1997. He made the accusations in his new autobiography Substance, before Aherne's brother Patrick spoke out in her defence and called Hook's remarks 'disgusting'.

Now, her Royle Family co-star and close friend Tomlinson has joined the criticism of Hook.

"Its very, very sad what [Hooks] done," he told The Mirror. "She cant answer back. She has no redress. Why couldnt he have made the claims when she was alive?

"She was a national treasure and people absolutely adored her."

He added: "If hes writing an autobiography then of course he would write about their marriage but Im sure there were good times. Why couldnt he have spoken about those? I suppose because those things dont sell books."

"I am absolutely convinced that if it had been the other way round she wouldnt have written stuff like that about him. I dont think he has done himself any favours. Any reputation he had I think will have gone down. He has shot himself in the foot."

Hook's claims have divided opinion. While many agree with Tomlinson, many others have praised Hook for speaking up about his experience of male domestic violence.

Tomlinson previously paid tribute to Aherne, saying she should have had a state funeral.

The star and writer of The Royle Family, Mrs Merton and most recently, the narrator of Channel 4's Gogglebox, Aherne was diagnosed with lung cancer last year having previously recovered from eye and bladder cancer. Noel Gallagher was among those to pay tribute after he death, writing "my God you made us laugh."

'This Is Spinal Tap' creator Christopher Guest reveals Leyton Orient inspired his new movie
This Is Spinal Tap creator Christopher Guest has revealed how League Two club Leyton Orient inspired his new movie, Mascots.

Mascots stars Chris O'Dowd and Parker Posey, and shows various sporting club's mascots competing at the fictitious World Mascots Championships. Guest's first film for Netflix, it's released by the streaming service on Thursday (October 13).

Speaking at a screening of the film at London's Cineworld Haymarket as part of London Film Festival, Guest said: "My co-writer Jim Piddock and I went to a Leyton Orient game. Their mascot is a wyvern and all he did was wave his hands from side-to-side in the air."

Orient's mascot, named Theo after the club's nickname The Os, is based on the lizard-like wyvern from the club's badge. Guest added: "At half-time, the Orient mascot didn't even re-appear. Jim and I had this idea that he was in the pub, with his wyvern head on the table next to him. Being a mascot intrigued me, because on the one hand you're a performer, but you also have to stay hidden in the mascot costume."

Guest reprises his role as oddball dance tutor Corky St Clair in Mascots, a character who first appeared in Guest's 1997 film Waiting For Guffman. Although Guest regularly uses the same actors in his films, it's the first time any of his characters have re-appeared. Asked if he'd been tempted to use other past characters in his films before, Guest replied with a simple "No."

This Is Spinal Tap co-star Harry Shearer also features in Mascots as the competition announcer at the mascot championships. It also features Phone Shop actor Tom Bennett as a British non-league football mascot with comedian Kerry Godliman as his wife Sarah.

Asked about making the film for Netflix, Guest explained: "It's known that my films' dialogue is all improvised, so I can't show anyone a script. But Netflix said they'd fund the film and they left us to get on with it. To that extent, it was ideal."

Liam Gallagher backs #IAMWHOLE campaign on World Mental Health Day
Liam Gallagher has backed a mental health awareness campaign to mark World Mental Health Day 2016, which takes place today (Monday, October 10).

The #IAMWHOLE campaign was launched with help from Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks, who has recorded the song 'Whole' (scroll below to watch video) for the NHS-backed anti-stigma campaign. The campaign, a partnership with youth charity YMCA, hopes to raise awareness of mental health issues suffered by young people.

Celebrities such as James Corden and Ed Sheeran have backed the cause so far, sharing photos of their hand with a circle drawn on it. Now Oasis frontman Gallagher is the latest to join the campaign. See his post below.

Liam Gallagher recently "held the olive branch out" to brother Noel Gallagher, saying that he wants to repair their relationship for the sake of their mother.

Liam told The Sunday Times: "Obviously [our mum would] like us to be chatting, sit around the table at Christmas. But its a stupid standoff, and we should know better, as we have kids. It would be nice for me and [Noel] to get back together as brothers. But its good, the standoff. Im enjoying it. I aint backing down. He aint backing down."

"At least people are still talking about it. Theyre obsessed," he added. "Theres no harm in it. He says shit about me. I say shit about him. I have held the olive branch out, and there has been nothing, so there you go. Potato it is, mate."

New poll reveals the UK's favourite 'Friends' character
A new poll by Comedy Central, the channel which has shown re-runs of Friends since 2011, has revealed the UK's favourite character from the enduringly popular sitcom.

David Schwimmer's Ross Geller came top of Comedy Central's poll with an impressive 25.6% of the vote, followed closely by Matthew Perry's Chandler Bing in second place with 25.4%.

Matt LeBlanc's Joey Tribbiani came third to complete an all-male top three, followed by Lisa Kudrow's Phoebe Buffay in fourth, Jennifer Aniston's Rachel Bing in fifth and Courteney Cox's Monica Geller in sixth.

Fans were asked to cast their votes on Twitter using hashtags such as #VoteRoss and #VotePhoebe. Sadly, they weren't given the option to vote for Janice, Gunther or the show's mythical "Smelly Cat".

Meanwhile, supermodel Elle Macpherson has recently admitted she regrets appearing on Friends because of the show's continued popularity on Comedy Central in the UK and Netflix in the US.

Macpherson played Janine Lacroix, the dancer room-mate of Matt LeBlanc's Joey Tribbiani, for five episodes in season six of the show in 1999. She told Australian magazine TV Week: "If I'd known how important it was in the US, or how long it would be shown on TV, I may not have chosen to do it. It was a lot of pressure, if you look at in the way that it'll be around for 20 or 30 years."

Daniel Craig suggests he isn't done playing Bond yet
Daniel Craig has spoken rather more positively about his future at 007.

Starting with Casino Royale in 2006, Craig has now played Bond in four films. But the actor has been openly reluctant since Skyfall in 2012 to commit himself to making more movies. While promoting Spectre in 2015, Craig told the BBC that he'd "rather slash my wrists" than play the spy in a fifth film.

Addressing the fall-out from this remark at an "in conversation" event in New York on Friday night (October 7), Craig told the audience: "They say that shit sticks, and that definitely stuck."

Vulture reports that he explained the remark by saying that he was tired at the time and had been missing his family. "It was the day after filming [stopped on Spectre]. I'd been away from home for a year," the actor recalled.

He then mocked his own complaining by saying: "Boo-hoo. It's a good gig. I enjoy it."

The Bond franchise's executive producer, Callum McDougall, recent told Radio 4's Today show that Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson remain positive that they will be able to persuade Craig to appear in another film.

McDougall said: "He is absolutely the first choice. I know they're hoping for him to come back." Asked who would replace Craig if the actor decided against returning as 007, the executive replied: "I wish I knew."

Over the last 12 months, there has been constant speculation as to who might take over as Bond from Craig, who is the seventh actor to play 007 across the franchise's 26th films. Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Aidan Turner have been the actors most often linked with the role.

'Star Wars: Episode VIII': Details of Finn's recovery emerge
A Star Wars fansite claims that details have leaked on Finn's recovery in Episode VIII.

At the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens his character was badly injured in a light saber duel with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

In the sequel, John Boyega's character is apparently placed in a bacta suit to recover from his injuries at the beginning of the film, reports Making Star Wars. Bacta is a healing substance which has featured before in the sci fi films.

Luke was placed in a bacta tank in The Empire Strikes Back when he was attacked by a Hoth monster near the beginning of the film.

Once he has fully recovered, he is allegedly sent on a new mission for the Resistance.

Meanwhile, Driver recently clarified comments he made about the forthcoming sequel, which fans thought compared it to The Empire Strikes Back.

The actor previously spoke of the screenplay, stating that it had a different tone, "similar to The Empire Strikes Back".

Speaking in September, he said: "Its great. Its similar to how The Empire Strikes Back has a different tone. For that people always go oooh, its dark but I dont know that it necessarily is. Its just different in tone in a way that I think is great and necessary but also very clear. He (Rian Johnson) trusts [that] his audience is ready for nuance and ambiguity. Hes not dumbing anything down for someone and thats really fun to play."

Whilst his comments didn't directly state that Star Wars: Episode 8 would mirror the tone of The Empire Strikes Back, some fans took it that way.

Last week, he clarified the comments, stating: "What I said was the tone of it was different, I didnt say that it was gonna be in the vein of [it] - I was using it as an example, so poor example."

He continued, "Next time I should say - Im trying to think of another sequel to a movie thats good. When I read the script, it was not what I expected, in the best of ways."

Meanwhile, Warwick Davis has joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode 8. The film will be the second in the sequel trilogy, following last year's The Force Awakens, and is set to be released on December 15, 2017. It has yet to receive an official title.

Guy Ritchie to direct 'Aladdin' remake for Disney
Guy Ritchie is being lined up to direct Disney's latest live-action remake: a new version of Aladdin.

TheWrap reports that the Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels director is currently "in negotiations" with the Mouse House to take on the live-action reimagining, which is being produced by his Sherlock Holmes collaborator Dan Lin.

Disney's original animated version of Aladdin featuring the voice of the late Robin Williams hit cinema screens in 1992 and became the highest-grossing film of the year. A pair of straight-to-video sequels followed, but Williams reportedly stated in his will that his out-takes from the original film could never be used to make another sequel.

The new Aladdin movie is the latest in Disney's successful series of live-action remakes based on its canon of classic animated films.

Announcing that The Jungle Book's director Jon Favreau has now been hired to work on a live-action version of The Lion King, the Mouse House said in a statement last month: "The Lion King builds on Disneys success of reimagining its classics for a contemporary audience with films like Maleficent, Cinderella and The Jungle Book."

"The upcoming Beauty And The Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle, is already one of the most anticipated movies of 2017," the Mouse House added.

Justin Timberlake dedicates his new concert film to Prince
Justin Timberlake has dedicated his new concert film to Prince.

Directed by Jonathan Demme, Oscar-winning director of The Silence Of The Lambs, the film captures the final night of Timberlake's 20/20 Experience World Tour, which took place at Las Vegas's MGM Grand Garden Arena in January 2015. The 134-date tour began in November 2013 and featured 12 dates in the UK including a pair of headline sets at V Festival in 2014.

The film, titled Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids in recognition of the singer's band, is set to debut on Netflix on Wednesday (October 12). It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last month (September) to largely positive reviews.

Discussing Prince with E! News, Timberlake said: "His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone's music and there's so much that I feel like I've maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt... right. It just feels right to dedicate the film to him."

Meanwhile, Demme said of Prince: "The film's been blessed with that name and that spirit." Watch the trailer for Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids below.
