Nicki Minaj tells fans she's dropping a new album at midnight, but it's just a joke
Nicki Minaj told fans last night (October 8) that she would be dropping a new album at midnight, but later appeared to confirm it was just a joke.

The rapper's last album 'The Pinkprint' dropped nearly two years ago in December 2014, so fans were understandably excited when she tweeted yesterday: "Ok u know what I wasn't gonna say anything but damn ya got it out of me. The album drops at midnight. it's called #PickMyFruitOut."

She then tweeted a supposed tracklist for the album featuring a series of unlikely fruit-based song titles such as 'Mango', 'Kiwi' and, in probably the biggest giveaway of all, 'Bananas (Harambe Interlude)'.

She also joked that one track would feature her "favourite rapper of all time".

The one I'm most excited about, however, is track #10. It's called Nigga toss my fruit salad and it features my favorite rapper of all time— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) October 9, 2016

Replying to a fan who thanked the rapper for "always making me laugh", Minaj seemingly confirmed that 'Pick My Fruit Out' had simply been a joke. "*kisses u* love u back. All of u. Love you sooooooo fkn much. I been cryin laughin this whole time, btw... Good stuff #PickMyFruitOut," she tweeted.

Though fans are still waiting on album news from Minaj, the rapper is currently in the Top Ten with her Ariana Grande collaboration 'Side To Side'. Watch the video below.

Simon Cowell: 'One Direction's Niall would have charted higher if he'd stayed with me'
Simon Cowell has suggested One Direction's Niall Horan would have charted higher with his debut single if he had remained with the X Factor mogul's record label Syco.

It has recently been reported that Horan "snubbed" Cowell to sign a deal with rival label Universal.

He dropped his first solo track 'This Town' on September 29 and saw it enter the charts at Number Nine on Friday (October 7) - eight places behind former X Factor champion James Arthur, who has recently re-signed to Cowell's label and scored a comeback Number One hit.

"He probably would have had a Number One single if he'd stayed with me," Cowell told the Sunday Mirror. "But you know who does have a Number One this week? James Arthur. Very pleased he's back with us with a fantastic record."

Cowell then added jokingly, in an apparent dig at Horan: "Hashtag loyalty."

After he and Nicole Scherzinger formed One Direction on The X Factor in 2010, Cowell signed the five-piece to his label Syco and oversaw their careers as they became global chart-toppers. However, the group - reduced to a four-piece since Zayn Malik left in March 2015 - is now "on hiatus" and Cowell does not seem to be helping to launch any of their solo careers.

Cowell said of the band members last month: "Look, I'm not going to lie when I hear they're doing something, and they haven't approached me. You think, 'Well I would have liked you to,' but it's their choice. I'm not bitter - much."

The pair also performed Beatles track 'Why Dont We Do It in the Road', the first time Macca has ever played the song live.

Watch Alec Baldwin mock Donald Trump over groping comments on 'SNL'
Alec Baldwin once again showcased his Donald Trump impression on last night's Saturday Night Live, mocking the Republican candidate over his recent controversial comments about women.

A 2005 conversation of Trump's recently surfaced, seeing him boast about groping a married woman. In it, he says: "I did try and fuck her. She was married... I am automatically attracted to beautiful women. I just start kissing them. Its like a magnet. Just kiss, I dont even wait... and when youre a star, they let you do it. You can do anything... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

Appearing during a SNL sketch, Baldwin's Trump is grilled over his comments, before he attempts to explain: "I was trying to look cool. What normal, red-blooded American doesn't want to impress the Billy Bush. Also, it's kind of funny that the only Bush that matters in this general election is Billy."

Baldwin's Trump later adds: "Listen, women, if you give me a chance, I promise I can do a whole lot more than just grab it. I can also bop it, twist it and pull it."

Creators the Duffer Brothers have already revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that season two will introduce four new characters and "venture a little bit outside of Hawkins" as well as exploring more of The Upside Down.

"We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins. And a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster? What else could be out there?" Matt Duffer explained.

"We really don't go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end. So we've opened up this doorway, and to us it's exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There's a lot more mystery there to be solved."

Radiohead say session recorded at Jack White's Third Man Records 'not worth waiting for'
Radiohead have explained why their 2012 recording session at Jack White's Third Man Records has never been released.

In 2012, White confirmed that the band had recorded at his Nashville studio but stated that he had not personally worked with them on the music.

Now, four years on, Radiohead guitarist Ed OBrien has spoken to BBC Radio 6 Music's Matt Everitt about why the Third Man session hasn't seen the light of day, saying: "I dont know. It was alright. It was OK. I cant really remember."

Of the session itself, O'Brien added: "It was really fun. Jack was so hospitable, him and his engineer - he records everything on 8-track. Listen, its not worth waiting for. If anything was amazing, you can be sure - wed try and put it out."

Listen to the full interview here.

Radiohead recently unveiled a new video for 'The Numbers' from 'A Moon Shaped Pool' - directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

Last month, a new, unheard Radiohead song 'Ill Wind' appeared online from the special edition of 'A Moon Shaped Pool'.

Solange beats Bon Iver to score first US number one album
Solange's new album is number one in the US, beating Bon Iver to top spot.

'A Seat At The Table', released last week (September 30), is Solange's first full album since 'Sol-Angel And The Hadley St Dreams' in 2008 and 2012's career-revitalising 'True' EP.

It sold 72,000 equivalent album units, including 46,000 traditional album sales, to give Solange her first number one record on the Billboard chart. Bon Iver's '22, A Million' sold 71,000 units to make it to number two.

'A Seat At The Table' features 21 songs, although eight of those are interludes. Guest cameos come from Kelly Rowland, Lil Wayne, Q-Tip, The-Dream, Sampha, Moses Sumney, Dev Hynes, BJ The Chicago Kid, Sean Nicholas Savage, Nia Andrews and Kelela. Solange has described the album as: "A project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief and healing."

Solange only managed to make it to number 17 in the UK, while Bon Iver was again at number two. Both were beaten by Craig David, who scored his first number one record in 16 years with 'Following My Intuition'.

Reacting to the news, David said: The last number one I had was with 'Born To Do It' 16 years ago so to have another and to share it with so many amazing people - its surreal. Im seeing two generations connecting the people who have been with me since 1999 and the crew who are just discovering me, both connecting on the same music, its the most amazing feeling. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I dont know whats going on right now!
