EL VY have become the latest act to unveil an anti-Trump anthem as part of the '30 days, 30 songs' project.
The project, initiated by writer Dave Eggers, sees a different band or singer put out a new anti-Trump song every day from now until the US presidential election on November 8. All 30 songs will then be collected together into a jumbo anti-Trump compilation.
Death Cab For Cutie and Franz Ferdinand are among the bands to have already shared a song, while a previously unreleased live track by R.E.M is still to come. EL VY - the duo comprising The National's Matt Berninger and Ramona Falls' Brent Knopf - have written and recorded a track called 'Are These My Jets'. Listen below.
Meanwhile, Berninger recently told NME that The National's upcoming album, their follow-up to 2013's 'Trouble Will Find Me', is shaping up to be more electronic.
"We're playing together in a room, which means we're jamming more," he said. "But it's not a jam record at all the songs are much more like weird, math-y, electronic-y stuff."
"We could probably crank out a great National record in a weekend, but none of us are interested in following up with another record that sounds like 'Trouble Will Find Me'," Berninger added.
