M33 Triangulum Galaxy https://www.flickr.com/photos/46881493@N04/53251659755/in/pool-11947580@N00 RRobertsphoto has added a photo to the pool:
A spiral galaxy 2.73 million ly from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. It is the third largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes our own Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy (M31).
In the written record, it was probably first discovered by the Italian astronomer Giovanni Battista Hodiema before 1654. It was then rediscovered by Charles Messier in 1764. William Herschel also listed it in his catalog in 1784. In reality, the first person to look up and notice it in the dark sky was none of these guys. Her/his name is lost to time, as it should be.
M33 will possibly be torn apart and absorbed by M31 in the next few billion years, so get out there and enjoy it while you can! Time's a wastin' people! Move!!

Fire river on earth and Milky Way in the sky / 3=5==0O @5:0 =0 75<;5 8 ;5G=K9 CBL 2 =515 https://www.flickr.com/photos/bogky/53251344886/in/pool-11947580@N00 BogKY has added a photo to the pool:
Engl.: The autumn wood in the landscape is illuminated by the Moon. On the night of October 6, the Moon was in the constellation Gemini, exactly opposite the constellation Cygnus. At the same time, the Moon was not too bright (48% of the disk was illuminated). Such conditions are almost ideal for a landscape with a simultaneous view of the Milky Way and an autumn forest. Unfortunately, powerful light from the large industrial center - the million-plus city of Omsk - interfered from the North-West (we managed to leave about 20 km from it - not enough). But I really wanted to get an autumn landscape with a view of the Milky Way. On Earth, as an element of the composition, I decided to create a river of fire by running with a flashlight to a birch grove... the run had to be repeated several times. And this frame is, perhaps, the best result by the photographer who did a lot of running ;-)
