Time for a break and a team photo at a new signpost in rolling countryside near Cold Aston, formerly known as Aston Blank, during a 7-mile walk organised by the Cotswold Volunteer Wardens today.
Autumn leaves are beginning to fall along a woodland ride on the return leg of a 7-mile walk led by the Cotswold Volunteer Wardens from the village of Cold Aston in Gloucestershire today.
The Gloucestershire village of Cold Aston stands in rolling Cotswold countryside a few miles west of Bourton-on-the-Water and the Roman Fosse Way. The Anglican church of St Andrew's was built in the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building.
The impressive running-in board at Lydney Junction station. I didn't see any connecting trains for London but since the main line & Lydney BR station are hidden far behind all that foliage it's no surprise.
