"Mu-um," Draco began, his voice sounding perilously close to a whine.

"Do not pressure me for an answer," she said, cutting off his complaint. "I was asked to keep a confidence. Would you like me to spill all your secrets to Harry, simply because he badgered me?"

Draco recognized that tone of voice and knew that arguing further would be fruitless. "No, of course not," he muttered, suitably chagrined. He fidgeted with the aspirator before venturing, "Will he tell me if I ask him?"

"I don't know, Draco, although if you bring it up, he will know you were eavesdropping."
