By the time Potter ended his conversation with Granger, Draco didn't know what would cause the most trauma and anxiety: knowing what Potter had been talking about or not knowing. He knew if he asked, Potter would clam up; therefore, Draco resolved to press his mum for information as soon as possible.

Decision made, Draco squared his shoulders and strode into the kitchen.

Potter glanced at him and then away. "I was just about to make dinner," he said. "There's cheese and fruit to nosh on in the meantime if you're hungry."

Draco's stomach growled, and Potter started slicing cheese.
