| 9:02 pm | I’ll be your Kit Kat Sommelier for the evening…
Last month I started up a blog called Oyatsu Break! (http://oyatsubreak.com), a Japanese snack food review blog. I also hosted a Kit Kat tasting party with like 40 flavours of Kit Kats that I’d collected on my travels, and shared them with friends. One of those friends wrote the story up for The Toronto Star, and now here I am! http://www.thestar.com/living/food/artic It looks like the photos have gone awol from the article for now, but it should be in the Saturday edition of the paper. Do you realize we live in an era of manga publication where we got a pre-war manga collection by a master creator that mostly no one even knew the name of* 10 years ago? And it’s 300 pages in a colour HC for $30? That’s fucking crazy. Tell me of 10 years ago that, and I would’ve called you an asshole for lying to me. We are blessed with quality material. Go read, it’s an interesting think-piece about where all of this comic-conning is actually taking the industry, and I’d think so even if it wasn’t incredibly complimentary of what we do at TCAF.

It’s gonna be a fun time, and I really dig a lot of their books. I’m particularly chuffed to see them launching their first creator-owned, original IP, original graphic novel this year.
