Packard Tenant http://community.livejournal.com/urban_decay/2303964.html The media seems to be all over the spectacle that is post industrial Detroit. There was the guy frozen in the ice in the abandoned building earlier this year. Foreclosure and abandonment in the D is still getting a lot of attention. Time did their special feature with ongoing blog and now even CNN Money is in there. Came across an item on the very last tenant in the abandoned Packard plant, America's largest abandoned industrial site, and a place featured here a couple of times. There's a couple of slide shows and some video. LINK |

Moderator note http://community.livejournal.com/urban_decay/2303144.html I don't know how many of the almost 7500 people who watch this community will actually read this post, but I wanted to make a quick announcement that I changed the one community rule a little bit. Photos outside a lj-cut used to have a maximum width of 650 pixels. Kinda small in this day of 20" or larger monitors and higher resolution displays. Effective immediately, as long as your photos are smaller in width than 800 pixels, I won't be rejecting them for size issues. Have fun out there photographing decay, and be safe! |
