    Star Wars Themed Blanket

An: Finished my Star Wars themed blanket! It only took me two months. I came up with the patterns for the Empire and Resistance logos myself. Someone has probably already made them, but I wanted to make my own so they would fit with my gauge.

I needed to bust up my green/purple yarn stash and knitted it into a blanket.
An: The blanket is 40x66 and took me about a month and a half to make. I used a 1x1 rib stitch because it gives me the look on a stockinette stitch without the curling. I added a black stripe because thats my favorite color

    A Hufflepuff Scarf I knitted

    4.0 Knitting Needles
    7 x 59

    1x1 rib
Cast on even number of stitches

    Yellow Section
    1. K, P to end
    2. K, P to end

Repeat 1. and 2. until the length measures 5 inches

    Black Stripes
    Change Color to black
    1. K, P to end
    2. K, P to end

    Change to yellow
    3. K, P to end
    4. K, P to end

    Change to black
    6. K, P to end
    7. K, P to end.

Repeat Yellow Section followed by Black Stripes until the scarf measures 59 in length.

At the end of the scarf make a Yellow Section without Black Stripes.

    Tips
    1. I picked a one by one rib because I like the Stockinette look without the curling that stockinette has.

    2. On the color changing Right Side rows I knit the last stitch instead of purling it.

    3. To attach the fringe I cut two strands of yarn that are twice the length I want (6 inches in my case, give me three inch fringe). I take a 5.5 mm crochet hook and put it into the stitch where I want to attach the fringe. I take the two strands of yarn and fold them in half. I pull the loop part way through the stitch with the crochet hook and then pull the ends of the strands through the loop.

    For all the sock-knitters...
Hi guys, I've just finished my second pair of socks from this designer, and I'm so inspired! I've been an avid sock knitter for a few years now, and I'm creating a bundle on Ravelry titled "I loved knitting these socks". These are obviously part of that bundle.

I am in no way affiliated with this designer and I happily paid the few euro these patterns costs. Both of these sock patterns have brought me so much joy. They are addictive to knit, because you really want to get to the next part and see what happens.
The first one I knit was called "Streepje Anders" (Different stripes), and I made a fraternal pair:

    Socks - Streepje Anders

(Fraternal pair is where the main colour and contrast colours are switched between socks. So one has pink as the main colour, the other has purple. But it's still so obviously a matching pair!)

The other sock I just cast off yesterday. This pattern is called "Dotje...Sok" and it's a wonderful mix of some Fair Isle, mock cables and a German Short-row heel that is great for people with a high instep.

    Sock - Dotje sok

I hope singing my praises is allowed, I really loved these two patterns and I just wanted to share. Heleen is wonderful, she designed both of these patterns for the Dutch Sock-knitters group, but the patterns are also available in English.
