Never date a coworker. Just don't do it. Ever. If you can help it. I really tried not to but sometimes, these thing just happen. Try to keep it secret if you do. You will thank me later for this little piece of freaky wisdom.
Working on laundry again and will be visiting the folks for the weekend. Aunt and uncle are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and I always feel it is a good idea to try to go to things that are happy occasions. If you can't bother when the person is alive, why do you make the effort for funerals? Anyway, made the mistake of asking my cousin if there was anything I could bring to the function. Sadly, she took me up on it and mentioned I could sandwiches or a sweet. I chose a sweet and made chocolate covered pretzels. Figured they had to be pretty easy... and they are, just really messy. Hopefully they won't melt before they get there.
Went to see the Harlem Globetrotters this week. Funny and cute and they really are talented entertainers. Totally forgot how those things are a total money grab for the kids. They were selling everything.
Went to
She's Out of My League last night. Surprisingly, a very funny movie. There were times when I couldn't even look at the screen it was so funny. Was even funnier because my friend, who is currently experiencing back problems and her meds have run out, found it even funnier than I did.
Last weekend, we saw,
The Bounty Hunter. Biggest waste of money ever. Not funny at all. Bad script? Directing? No chem between the two leads? Who knows. Horrible, horrible picture.
Big NEWS from MONCTON. They found Donna O'Reilly. Actually, in typical Newfoundland spirit, she rescued herself. Turns out, she really had been kidnapped and was kept in a house a few blocks from my place. Somehow, she escaped, flagged down a Purolator truck, hitched a ride to the RCMP and was then taken to the hospital. That was all anyone talked about yesterday. Today, it was all about who did it and how he was brought up on charges today.
Freaky thing about the pic, he looks familiar to me. Likely just because we've crossed paths at some point since we both live in the downtown area. Odd thing, SB described him as a dirty hippie. I take exception to that. Some of my best friends are hippies.
Got to go finish the laundry and try to find something to put the rest of the pretzels into.
