While driving around in McDonough, GA today, I saw this rusty tractor on the side of the road and just had to snap a few pictures. The owner said that this model ran on Kerosene. And supposedly did run as of thirty years ago. He also said that parts are available so he could rebuild it if he wanted, but it is destined to become an advertisement for his tractor business.
The tractor is a McCormik-Deering 13-30 with steel wheels. It was manufactured from 1921-1934. Using kerosene as a fuel meant the engine had to be run at the boiling point. Many owners later converted to gas (and some put rubber tires on in place of the steel lugs).
