| 6:32 pm | Last day.... Today is my final day as a pharm tech. I go on to being a legal assistant/paralegal on Monday and wanted the weekend off. So, tomorrow, we clean Sam's room, and then hopefully take down this damned computer in my room and Sunday is writer's group. Anyway, this weekend is busy, and I will no doubt be ready for bed on Sunday night, but I'm also excited because NEW JOB. Now, on to several other things that are more important. ( STUFF ) |

| 3:48 am | Gray Road fire, Spokane, WA or, THE STATE IS ON FIRE So, here I sit in my house, in my bed, safe and secure. For the last three nights, this was not the case. The Gray Road Fire caused us on Friday to evac out. It was a rushed evac, with a lot of things that went wrong. However, we were safe, the cats were safe - they spent a night in Sam's car, and then two nights at a vet clinic being boarded - and we got out okay. We've learned, and will be doing things to make our next one a bit better. Now, we are home again. The smoke damage isn't nearly as bad as we feared. Both Sam and I are frazzled, horrified, and just... done. But we are home. Now, the Gray Fire is still going and it's entirely possible we get evacuated again. But that's a worry for later. We were at a friend's place so it's not like we weren't safe and secure? But, it wasn't home. And Scotty has forgiven me for leaving him in that place. I'm very... unsure about this part. I was always so sure of being in Washington state, but now.... I'm scared, and I know I'm just reacting, so to bed with me. |

| 7:36 pm | And then... So, the other night (like a week ago) I used my left arm to reach behind me and scratch my ass. I was laying in bed on my right side, and that arm was free. Well! That'll teach me! I somehow tore my rotator cuff. They don't know how bad as of yet. I gotta get Xrays done, and PT. So. Let me just headdesk a lot. I can barely use my left arm. Even sitting here typing this with both hands is not good, and hurts a lot, but I haven't got a choice but to type, because also at work. But yeah, torn rotator cuff. Go me! |

| 1:52 pm | Announcement So, as everyone here has gleaned, I have been searching for a new job since I got to Spokane. I'm tired of working from home and want a "real" job, that pays better and, really, doesn't make me work Saturdays, so I can do things with people! Now, yesterday, I went and got my shoulder x-rayed, because I somehow tore my rotator cuff. I explained that in my last post. When I got home, Scotty used his superpowers on me and put me to bed for a nap. I woke up to a lovely email from this nice guy that I interviewed with last Wednesday. I GOT THE JOB!!! I don't know when he wants me to start, because he goes on vacation next week, and obviously, I have to give notice to the current job, so I'm thinking that I'll start 9/18. That'll let me give 10 days notice, and, let me get a few things out of the way. Hopefully this will be my job home. I like the thought of working for a lawyer that does workman's comp. Which is what I'll be doing. I'll be doing a lot of medical record gleaning and summarizing. That's something I like to do. But we shall see. ANYWAY. How's y'all? |
